  38.             A forms generator geared for anyone who distributes and
  39.             tracks software sent or mailed to others such as:
  40.             (Shareware) software authors

  42.             COMDEX "booth" operators

  45.             This program consists of the following elements:
  46.             1. A built-in 60000 byte capacity text editor
  47.                {You can use a separate editor or word processor
  48.                if you like}.
  49.             2. Built-in "point and shoot" file selection routine.
  50.             3. Built-in documentation (see below).
  51.             4. Two built-in data conversion routines for converting
  52.                ASCII and {ASHTON-TATE DBASE(R)} .DBF formatted $M$
  53.                data (see below) into the program's .ADR format (see
  54.                below).
  55.             5. Built-in routine to sort .ADR formatted $M$ records
  56.                by the first five characters of the zip/postal code
  57.                and the first two characters of the state/country
  58.                name. This program can sort about 5120 .ADR formatted
  59.                $M$ records.

  65.             Single and dual floppy disk drive systems:
  66.             1. Get a COMPLETELY blank formatted floppy disk
  67.                {360K MS-DOS(R) format minimum} that is not
  68.                write-protected.  Consult your DOS documentation
  69.                for instructions on formatting floppy disks if
  70.                necessary.
  71.             2. Start up {"boot"} your IBM PC or compatible computer
  72.                from a separate DOS disk or a "bootable" hard disk
  73.                {if any}.
  74.             3. Put the disk containing DSKMLR11.EXE in the computer's
  75.                emptied "A" drive.
  76.             4. Put the blank formatted disk in the computer's
  77.                emptied "B" drive {if any}.
  78.             5. Type "copy a:dskmlr11.exe b:dskmlr11.exe" at the "A>"
  79.                DOS prompt and press the enter key.  Do not type in
  80.                the " 's that enclose the command you give to DOS to
  81.                copy DSKMLR11.EXE to the floppy disk in the "B"
  82.                drive. Single drive users will have to switch disks
  83.                when instructed to do so by DOS {DO NOT INSERT THE
  84.                WRONG DISK AT THE WRONG TIME! (put a write protect
  85.                tab on the original disk containing DSKMLR11.EXE to
  86.                avoid this problem)}.
  87.             6. Type "a:" and press the enter key.
  88.             7. Put disk with the one file DSKMLR11.EXE in the
  89.                emptied "A" drive.

  91.             Hard disk drive systems:
  92.             1. Start up {"boot"} your IBM PC or compatible computer
  93.                from a separate DOS disk or a "bootable" hard disk
  94.                {if any}.
  95.             2. Put the disk containing DSKMLR11.EXE in the computer's
  96.                emptied "A" drive.
  97.             3. Type "c:" and press the enter key at the DOS prompt
  98.                to change to the hard disk drive {hard disk drive C
  99.                assumed, substitute the letter assigned to your hard
  100.                disk drive if needed}.
  101.             4. Type "cd\" and press the enter key.
  102.             5. Type "md dskmlr" and press the enter key.  I assume
  103.                this subdirectory doesn't allready exist on your
  104.                hard disk. If it does, skip this step.
  105.             6. Type "copy a:dskmlr11.exe c:\dskmlr\dskmlr11.exe"
  106.                and press the enter key.
  107.             7. Type "cd dskmlr" and press the enter key.
